The Union Square Park Partnership will be hosting the annual US Park Day on May 15TH 2010. This is a great and fun event that anyone can volunteer for and help give back to the park we all love so much. If you’re interested in helping out contact the USP at “info@unionsquarenyc.org”.

“The Union Square Partnership hosts volunteer events so that you can give back to the park you love!  Join us and Partnership for Parks for It’s My Park! Day, which takes place every spring and fall, to plant annuals and improve the grounds by raking debris from plant beds.  Our next event is Saturday, May 15th.

If you can’t join us for It’s My Park! Day, come out for community volunteering events, such as the City Harvest Greenmarket Team, to collect excess food from farmers and transport these goods to food banks to people in need across the five boroughs. Either way you will be improving your community in a positive way!”
