L’asso Pizza is Bubbling Hot

Thursday February 5th, 9:56 pm by Serafina.

L’asso on the corner of Mott and Kenmare Street in Manhattan serves pizza by the inch (don’t you just love that?).  You can order a 12″ pizza that is round, or a 18″ or 29″ pizza that are each long and rectangular.  All of them are thin and crisp, slightly burnt around the edges.  The sauce isn’t too sweet and the cheese is fresh, plus while you wait for your pizza, you get a plate of warm, small squares of dough, drizzled in olive oil and olives on top.  The art on the walls is rotated every couple of months and is made by artists from NYC.  L’asso isn’t a big place, so you won’t feel crowded.  The salads are good too, like the pear salad with grilled chicken and parmesan.

Note:  If you go from 5pm to 7pm, slices are only $1!
