Artichoke Pizza, lines and lines

Saturday November 15th, 10:28 am by Serafina.

At any time of the day, Artichoke Basille’s Pizza & Brewery will have a line of hungry people waiting outside this tiny shop to get their slice. This fairly new, 14th street pizza place is known for their hefty portions and delicious slices. Every time I pass by on the bus or on foot, I am constantly amazed by the line that is here. It seems that New Yorkers don’t mind waiting for the best. While you won’t be impressed by the decor, the pizza will awaken you when you get your first whiff. The artichoke slice is the one to try, a huge slice of creamy artichoke and spinach made with butter and wine. There are others such as regular, cheese slices, but the various types of cheeses on these make it worth the wait. If you’re a big eater, trust me, you only need one of these, it is a full meal. Head down to around Stuyvesant Town, so you too can you have your Artichoke for the day.
