“A.R.C. is proud to introduce the Thomas Reynolds collection “a new product collaboration by Fila and James Blake” at its A.R.C. Sports store at 157 Rivington Street.

Named in honor of his father, whom Blake often refers to as a superhero, the collection is designed by Blake himself with the help of Fila’s design team. “I felt I could create a line that is functional and stylish both on and off the court” says Blake.

To that end, the Thomas Reynolds collection takes clues from Fila’s heritage and Blake’s signature contemporary style and brings it all to classic silhouettes in technical fabrics such as Coolmax pique or Tencel‘“which make the line light, soft, absorbent, very strong when wet or dry, and resistant to wrinkles.

The  Thomas Reynolds Fall 09 collection consists of two polos(raglan sleeve and open placket), crew neck shirts (coolmax pique and tencel), shorts and warm-up. The line has a distinct nod to Fila‘ s tennis heritage with pinstripe detailing on one of the crew neck shirts, open placket and reversible collar on the polo, and athletic taping on the shoulder of the raglan polo. The open placket polo and solid crew neck incorporate the sustainable fabric, tencel. The warm up is a more refined fleece and the inside of the hooded jacket reverses from navy to campanula. The price points of the collection range from $45 – $65.

While Blake will debut the new line during his first match at the US Open, it is available now at A.R.C. Sports, albeit with one difference: Commemorating the release, the pieces are subtly co-branded and feature the A.R.C. logo embroidered in the Fila classic Navy and Red colors.
