The Christmas House AKA Garabedian House

Monday November 24th, 5:06 pm by Serafina.

The Christmas House, also called the Garabedian House in the Bronx is one of things that you’ll remember this Christmas.  Drive on the Pelham Parkway North, and you’ll see a glowing corner in the distance.  You’ll be shocked by the amount of people that flock to the outside of this residence in the evening.  The entire house and front yard is covered in various Christmas decorations, sometimes there are just random figures and moving statues planted there.  Everything is lit up with lights, and there is a constant crowd outside snapping away, taking pictures through the big gates.  A trip to this house is a fun, family outing and will entertain you.  Even driving by the house is exciting.  Go ahead, sing along to the music played through the speakers, throw some change onto the lawn, and visit this wild house in the Bronx.  Soon you’ll be telling all of your friends to go see the Garabedian Family’s House.

Circle Line, Circling the City

Sunday November 23rd, 10:01 am by Serafina.

The Circle Line is a guided boat tour of the city, and while the Circle Line boat is the classic boat to go on, there are other boats that are offered to cruise with such as the Beast, a thrill ride going down the river. The Circle Line is a tourist attraction, but you will see many school trips on it as well, most New Yorkers can say that they have been on the boat at least once or twice. Learn about the history of the city with the tour guide, and you’ll pass under all of the bridges that connect to our island Manhattan, you’ll be surprised how many there are. Wave to the other boats in the water, sit back and relax.

Top of the Rock, Great Shots of the City

Friday November 21st, 12:52 pm by Serafina.

Top of the Rock is the best alternative to the top of the Empire State building, maybe even better (as you can see the Empire State Building from this view). The Top of the Rock is an entire experience, not just a place to view the city. There is even a mini museum as you enter with information about Rockefeller Center, and a gift shop at the top! There is a three level observation deck, floors 67th, 69th, and 70th of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. I recommend going at night as it is not as crowded, and the view is amazing with the city’s buildings lit up. The highest level is completely open, offering a full view of the city, while the other two levels are outdoor terraces with safety glass. You’ll be completely surrounded by high-rises, and can even see the park from up here.
